Park Brake Input (Manual Transaxle)
The DRL Module has an input from the Brake Warning Indicator Control Circuit. When the Park Brake is set, ground is applied to the DRL Module DRL Disable Input. The DRL Module then will not operate any Headlights or Exterior Lights (in Day or Night Modes). This allows the operator to start the car and keep the Headlights OFF as long as Park Brake is applied. Because the Park Brake Switch shares CKT 33 with the Electronic Brake Control Module and the Brake Fluid Level Switch, any condition that causes the BRAKE Indicator to come on will also inhibit the Headlights from operating in Daytime Running Lights mode.Once the DRL Module turns the Daytime Running Lights ON, setting the Park Brake again will not turn the Daytime Running Lights OFF.
