1. Raise and support vehicle, then remove wheel and tire assembly.
2. Disconnect stabilizer bar at lower control arm and control arm support.
3. Using tool J-29330, separate ball joint from steering knuckle.
4. Position a suitable pry bar between suspension support and lower control arm and separate lower ball joint from steering knuckle. On some models, it may be necessary to remove nut attaching link to stabilizer shaft.
5. Remove control arm support to chassis retaining bolts and remove control arm support and control arm as an assembly, Fig.13 .
6. Separate control arm from support, then using tool No. J-29792, or equivalent, remove bushings from control arm. Coat threads of tool with extreme pressure lubricant.
7. Lubricate new bushings and install into control arm using tool No. J-29792, or equivalent. Coat threads of tool with extreme pressure lubricant.
8. Reverse procedure to install. Check front wheel alignment and adjust as required.
