Compartment Lid Release

When the Liftgate/Rear Compartment Lid Release Button is pressed on the Transmitter and the Remote Control Door Lock Receiver (RCDLR) receives a signal with a valid Vehicle Access Code (VAC), the RCDLR will supply battery voltage to CKT 1576 (SEDAN) or CKT 253 (WAGON). This battery voltage is then applied to the Rear Compartment Lid Release Solenoid (Sedan) or Liftgate Lock Release Solenoid (Wagon). The Rear Compartment Lid Release Solenoid (Sedan) or Liftgate Lock Release Solenoid (Wagon) is energized and the Liftgate/Rear Compartment Lid can be opened. If the Ignition Switch is "ON" and the Transaxle Range Switch (V6 VIN M) or Park/Neutral Position Switch (L4 VIN 4) is not in "PARK," battery voltage is not supplied to RCDLR CKT 275 and the Liftgate/Rear Compartment Lid will not open.
