Supercharger Replacement

SUPERCHARGER AND GASKET










NOTICE: Servicing of the supercharger unit itself is limited to replacement only. No attempt should be made to disassemble the supercharger as parts damage may result.

Remove or Disconnect

1. Negative battery cable.
2. Engine cover.
3. Relieve fuel pressure. Refer to: Service and Repair
4. Supercharger belt. Refer to: Service and Repair
5. Right side spark plug wires from ignition module and set aside.
6. Generator brace.
7. Electrical connectors from fuel injectors.
8. MAP sensor bracket.
9. Fuel rail mounting bolts and fuel rail with injectors. Refer to: Service and Repair
10. Boost control solenoid.
11. Throttle body nuts.
12. Supercharger.

Clean

- Intake manifold and supercharger mating surfaces.

Install or Connect

1. New supercharger to intake gasket.

Important
- Do not use an sealer on gasket.

2. Supercharger bolts.

Tighten
- Supercharger bolts to 23 Nm (17 lb. ft.).

3. MAP sensor bracket.
4. Throttle body to supercharger.
5. Boost control solenoid.
6. Fuel rail and connect fuel lines. Refer to: Service and Repair
7. Electrical connectors to fuel injectors.
8. Generator brace.
9. Right side spark plug wires to ignition module.
10. Supercharger belt. Refer to: Service and Repair
11. Engine cover.
12. Negative battery cable.
