Lid Release With Keyless Entry
Battery voltage is applied at all times from I/P Fuse #29 to the Rear Compartment Lid Release Relay and the Rear Compartment Lid Release Switch. The relay will receive voltage on the coil side when the Rear Compartment Lid Release Switch is depressed (closed). With Buick, the Rear Compartment Lid Release Enable Switch must also be closed for the relay to receive voltage on the coil side. Once voltage is applied to the coil side of the Rear Compartment Lid Release Relay, the Relay must then see a ground through the Backup Lamp and Park/Neutral Position Switch, when in "PARK" or "NEUTRAL," which is grounded at G104, therefore energizing the Relay which then sends voltage to the Rear Compartment Lid Lock Release Actuator which receives its ground through G401 and activates the actuator and releases the Rear Compartment.
