PASSLOCK UART Communications

VEHICLE THEFT DETERRENT (VTD) UART COMMUNICATIONS INVOLVEMENT
The PASSLOCK System requires the Powertrain Control Module (PCM) and the Instrument Panel Cluster (IPC) to communicate various functions in order to operate. These functions are transmitted over the Universal Asynchronous Receiver Transmitter (UART) Serial Data Line, or CKT 800.
