NOTE: On Air Bag Equipped Models, Refer To Air Bag System Precautions for System Disarming & Arming Procedures. Refer to Air Bags and Seat Belts.

1. Disconnect battery ground cable.
2. Remove steering wheel as outlined under Steering Wheel. Refer to Steering and Suspension/Steering.
3. Remove steering column covers.
4. Remove instrument cluster trim plate attaching screws, Fig.16 and 17.
5. Pull trim plate rearward to disconnect electrical connectors, then remove plate.
6. Remove instrument cluster attaching screws, then move cluster rearward to disconnect electrical connectors and remove cluster.
7. Reverse procedure to install. Torque instrument cluster trim plate attaching screws to 17 inch lbs.
