Component Tests and General Diagnostics

PERFORM BEFORE BEGINNING SYSTEM DIAGNOSIS
WARNING: The SIR driver deployment loop (CKT 347 and 348) passes through connector C200. You must take special precautions before servicing connector C200. Disable the SIR system before you disconnect, probe, or service connector C200. Refer to "Disabling the SIR System" in Air Bags and Seat Belts. Failure to follow the correct procedure could cause air bag deployment, personal Injury, or unnecessary SIR system repairs.


1. Check RR Defog Fuse and the HTR-A/C Fuse.
2. If one or more of the grid lines do not heat, refer to Grid Line repair procedures.
3. If the Panel Light is inoperable with the Headlight Switch in "PARK" or "HEAD," check bulb and wiring to bulb (CKT 8 - Power, CKT 150 - Ground).
^ Refer to Rear Defogger Switch and Multi-function Alarm Module access.
^ Check for a broken (or partially broken) wire inside of the insulation which could cause system failure but prove "GOOD" in a continuity/voltage check (See Diagnostic Aids for General Troubleshooting Procedures). Diagnostic Aids
