B0803
DTC B0803 - Shift Interlock Solenoid (BTSI) Shorted To Battery:
CIRCUIT DESCRIPTION
When the ignition is ON and the transaxle is in PARK the Body Control Module (SBM) drives the Brake Transmission And Shift Interlock Solenoid (BTSI) Output high, enabling the BTSI. When the brake is pressed the stoplamp/BTSI switch opens the BTSI circuit, disabling the shift interlock solenoid. The SBM monitors this output and determines the actual voltage every 300 ms.
CONDITIONS FOR SETTING THE DTC
The Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTC) sets when the SBM determines the output is high for 100 ms.
CONDITIONS FOR CLEARING THE DTC
When the SBM detects the BTSI output feedback status shows no voltage.
DIAGNOSTIC AIDS
Refer to Brake Transaxle Shift Interlock to diagnose CKT 275 (LT GRN) shorted to ground. Shift Interlock
