DTC IPC B1520:

DTC IPC B1520 Reset Switch Stuck/Shorted To Ground:

CIRCUIT DESCRIPTION:
When the switch is activated the 1325 circuit is grounded. The Instrument Panel Cluster (IPC) will sense ground on terminal B10 and will reset the trip odometer.

CONDITIONS FOR SETTING THE DTC:
Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTC) IPC B1520 will set if the ignition is "ON" and the Reset Switch is stuck or shorted to ground for greater than 60 seconds.

ACTION TAKEN (BY IPC):
The IPC will disable this switch input for the remainder of the ignition cycle or until the code is cleared.

DIAGNOSTIC AIDS:
Check for binding, sticking or broken switch controls. If OK, clear DTC. Check condition of switch. If DTC sets again, check for short circuit or replace switch.
