DTC DDM B2222 - Passenger Door Lock/Unlock Switch Stuck:




CIRCUIT DESCRIPTION
The LH Front Power Door Lock switch feeds switch signals to the Passenger Door Module (PDM) over CKT 244 (LT BLU) and CKT 245 (DK BLU). The PDM converts the switch inputs to serial digital data and broadcasts the message out on the Simple Bus Interface (SBI). The SBI (CKT 217, LT BLU) provides a communications path from the PDM to the Drivers Door Module (DDM). The DDM contains both switch message decoding software and SBI diagnostic software enabling it to relay messages to the PDM as well as check the interface between the two components.

CONDITIONS FOR SETTING THE DTC
^ If either the switch inputs for LOCK or UNLOCK remain closed for 30 continuous seconds, this Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) will be set.
^ DTCs B1982 (Battery Voltage High) and B1983 (Battery Voltage Low) must not he current or the diagnostic will not run.

ACTION TAKEN WHEN THE DTC SETS
The switch actuation will be ignored until the switch leaves the low state change of the lock switch input. The door lock levers and key locks will still function normally.

CONDITIONS FOR CLEARING THE MIL/DTC
This code will clear automatically when the Switch becomes operational again.

DIAGNOSTIC AIDS
The Scan Tool can be selected to monitor DDM inputs and set outputs as well as view DTCs. The Scan Tool may also be used to select Remote Function Actuator (RFA) inputs, outputs and options.

TEST DESCRIPTION
This diagnostic runs at least once every 300 milliseconds. The diagnostic program resides in the DDM. A check of the Passenger's Door Switch is made during each pass.
