DTC DDM U1161 - Loss Of Passenger Door Module Simple Bus Serial Data:

CIRCUIT DESCRIPTION
The Simple Bus Interface (SBI) (CKT 217, LT BLU) provides a communications path from both the Passenger and Rear Door Modules and the Driver Door Switch (DDS) to the Driver Door Module (DDM). The DDM contains both Class 2 and SBI circuits allowing it to relay messages between the Class 2 Bus and the SBI.

CONDITIONS FOR SETTING THE DTC
^ Any SBI communications problem between the Passenger Door Module and DDM will cause this Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTC) to be set.
^ DTCs B1982 (Battery Voltage High) and B1983 (Battery Voltage Low) must not be current or the diagnostic will not run.

ACTION TAKEN WHEN THE DTC SETS
Loss of the SBI will cause the Passenger Door Module to Go to "Sleep". All power functions will be lost on the Passenger Door. This includes power windows and power door locks. The manual door lock and the key lock will still function normally.

CONDITIONS FOR CLEARING THE MIL/DTC
This code will clear automatically when the SBI becomes operational again.
