DTC IPC U1255 Loss Of Generic Class 2 Data:

CONDITIONS FOR SETTING THE DTC:
Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTC) IPC U1255 will set if the ignition is "ON" and the IPC is not able to exchange data with the Powertrain Control Module (PCM), Standard Body Module (SBM), Sensing And Diagnostic Module (SDM) and Electronic Brake And Traction Control Module (EBTCM).

ACTION TAKEN WHEN THE DCT SETS (BY IPC):
None if only DTC IPC U1255 is set.

DIAGNOSTIC AIDS:
If only DTC IPC U125S IS STORED AS "History", check PCM, SBM, SDM and EBTCM power, ground and serial data cavities for intermittent open circuits. If there are multiple communication DTCs current (i.e. DTC IPC U1016, IPC U1040, IPC U1064 and IPC U1088) perform a Class 2 Data Link Connector system check for open circuits, refer to Data Link Connector.
