Fast Reverse

The REV (fast reverse) button is a non-latching momentary contact control that serves a dual function with a radio preset button. This button is of a press and hold nature. The button allows reverse movement within the disc at a faster rate than normal playback rate as long as the button is held. When activated, the audio level is reduced by 6dB and the disc will play in the reverse direction at a rate of 6 times normal speed. Elapsed time within the selected track will be displayed while in the REV mode. The track number (and Disc number in CD applications), followed in 5 seconds by elapsed time, followed in 5 more seconds by the user selected default will be displayed after the REV button is released.
