Memory Seat Module (Msm)

The Memory Seat Module (MSM) has circuits to interface with seat motor position sensors, and to control the seat motors. This module also has memory to retain Driver's Seat settings for two different drivers. The MSM connects to the drivers seat harness which in turn connects to the left body harness. Class 2 interface circuitry on the MSM module provides the means to receive and transmit messages to other modules. Class 2 bus messages include the following:
^ Driver Door Module (DDM) messages for Driver's Door Switch selections
^ Instrument Panel Cluster (IPC) configuration of the driver/Keyless Entry Transmitter personalization
^ Keyless Entry transmissions received through the Remote Function Actuator (RFA) module
^ HVAC personalization messages
^ Radio personalization messages

When the MSM receives a Class 2 bus message requesting a memory recall function (Driver1/Driver2/Easy Exit), it moves the seat to the memorized settings.
