Troubleshooting Hints - Heated Seats

PERFORM BEFORE BEGINNING SYSTEM DIAGNOSIS
1. Check Rear Bussed Electrical Center (BEC) HTD STL fuse for continuity on LH seat heat problems.
2. Check CKT 1040 (ORN) wiring for an open or short to ground.
3. Check BEC HTD STR fuse for continuity on RH seat heat problems.
4. Check CKT 1440 (ORN) wiring for an open or short to ground.
5. Check I/P BEC IGN SEN fuse for continuity on both seat heat problems.
6. Check CKT 241 (BRN) wiring for an open or short to ground.
7. Make sure G201 is clean and tight.
8. Check that connectors to RH and LH Seat Assemblies are firmly mated.
9. Before component replacement, check for poor connections at related component and in-line harness connector terminal connections.
10. Check for broken (or partially broken) wire inside of the insulation which could cause a system malfunction but prove "GOOD" in a continuity/voltage check with a system disconnected. These circuits may be intermittent or resistive when loaded, and if possible, should be checked by monitoring for a voltage drop with the system operational (under load).
11. Check for proper installation of aftermarket electronic equipment which may affect the integrity of other systems.
12. The only DTC/Scan Tool parameter associated with the heated seat module is Standard Body Module DTC B2348, which is a load shed signal. If heated seats are not functioning check for this enable signal.
