Troubleshooting Hints - Memory Seats
PERFORM BEFORE BEGINNING SYSTEM DIAGNOSIS1. Always check terminal contact before replacing any component,
2. If Power Seat: Memory is inoperative, check PWR SEAT Circuit Breaker in the Rear Bussed Electrical Center (BEC). If circuit breaker is tripped, check for short to ground in CKT 1340 (ORN). Also, check the IGN SEN Fuse in the I/P BEC. Replace fuse if blown. If fuse blows again when replaced, check for short to ground in CKT 241 (BRN).
3. Check for a broken (or partially broken) wire inside of the insulation which could cause system failure but prove "GOOD" in a continuity/voltage check (refer to General Troubleshooting Procedures).
4. Check for proper installation of aftermarket electronic equipment which may affect the integrity of other systems. (Refer to General Troubleshooting Procedures). Diagnostic Aids
5. Ensure the Keyless Entry transmitter in use is set up through the DIC to move the seat to a known memorized position.
