Maintenance Recommendations
WARNING: Never spray water on a hot radiator. The resulting steam could cause personal injury. At least yearly, the front face of the condenser and radiator should be cleaned. Insects, leaves, etc. can be removed by blowing compressed air through the radiator, from the rear toward the front of the vehicle. If compressed air is not available, a water hose can be used to force water through the radiator from the rear toward the front of the vehicle. Use water only when the engine is cool and not running.
CAUTION: Compressed air or water can be used to clean radiator fins. Do not exceed 138 kPa (20 psi). Pressure over 138 kPa (20 psi) will damage radiator. It is important that the radiator is kept clean for proper cooling. The radiator fins are necessary for good heat transfer. They should not be brushed, as doing so damages the fins and reduces heat transfer.
