Tire Pressure Status

Tire Pressure Status is calculated by the Antilock Brake System (ABS) module and sent to the Instrument Panel Cluster (IPC) via the Class 2 serial data bus. Tire Pressure Status is displayed as "TIRE PRESSURE NORMAL" The word "NORMAL" will be replaced with "LOW: CHECK TIRES" when their is a low tire pressure condition. This portion of the IPC will display ???? if there is a loss of ABS communications. After the tires have been filled with air, the tire pressure status can be reset by displaying the tire pressure status and then pressing the "RESET" button for approximately 5 seconds. When the tire pressure is reset, "NORMAL" will be displayed for the Tire Pressure.
