The Instrument Panel Cluster (IPC) provides information to the HUD (optional) via three wire serial parallel interface (SPI). The information provided includes, display on/off status, turn signal status, high beam status, display mode (English/metric) status, "Check Gauges" status, and speedometer biasing status. it is essential that the IPC be connected when diagnosing problems associated with the Head Up Display (HUD).
