Circuit Operation
When the gear selector lever is placed in REVERSE, the Remote Function Actuator
(RFA) receives a message from the Powertrain Control Module
(PCM) via Class 2. The RFA then grounds the Reverse Relay coil. The relay switch is then closed, supplying battery voltage to the LH and RH
backup lamps. The backup lamps are permanently grounded at G400. The RFA removes the ground to the Reverse Relay when it receives the Class 2 message from the PCM that the gear selector is no longer in REVERSE. The Reverse Relay switch then opens, removing the battery voltage to the backup lamps and they turn off.
