Exterior Lamps

PARK/SIDE MARKER/TAIL LAMPS
The park lamps, side marker lamps, and tail lamps are supplied power from two different circuits. When the headlamp switch is in PARK, the park lamps input to the Lamp Control Module (LCM) is grounded. The LCM then applies voltage through the I/P Bussed Electrical Center (BEC) LP PK L Fuse and LP PK R Fuse to the underhood lamp (refer to Interior Lamps), the tail lamps, the side marker Lamps, and the Park Lamps. CKT 309 (BRN/WHT) supplies power to the RH park lamps and all lamps on the trunk lid. CKT 709 (PPL) supplies power to the LH park lamps.

STOP LAMPS
Voltage is applied at all times from Underhood BEC STOP Fuse 20 to the stoplamp/BTSI switch. When the Brake Pedal is depressed, CKT 20 (LT BLU) supplies voltage through the stoplamp/BTSI switch and the BEC to the center high mounted stop lamps, the RH and LH tail/stop lamps, and the trunk lid tail/stop lamps causing the stop lamps to light.

TURN LAMPS
When the ignition switch is in RUN and with the turn signal/hazard switch in a turn position, voltage is applied from the Underhood BEC T/SIG Fuse 3 through the turn signal/hazard switch to the respective turn signal/hazard flasher module turn input. The turn signal/hazard flasher module receives battery voltage from the Underhood BEC HZDT/SG Fuse 25. The Turn Signal/Hazard Module supplies power in an intermittent on and off pattern to the respective front turn signal and side marker lamps through the I/P BEC. The turn signal/hazard flasher module also supplies power in an intermittent on and off pattern to the respective rear turn signal and side marker lamps through the I/P BEC and the Rear BEC. The respective turn signal indicator will flash continuously while the turn signal/hazard switch in the turn position. CKT 685 (YEL) supplies power to the LH turn lamps and CKT 686 (TAN) supplies power to the RH turn lamps.

The front side marker lamps are wired with power circuits on both sides. The LH front side marker lamp is supplied power by CKT 709 (PPL) and CKT 685 (YEL). The RH front side marker lamp is supplied power by CKT 309 (BRN/WHT) and CKT 686 (TAN). When the park lamps are on and a turn is being indicated, these side marker lamps will flash on and off opposite of the other park lamps. When the turn signal/hazard flasher module supplies power to the front side marker lamps, they turn off because the Lamp Control Module (LCM) is also supplying power to the front side marker lamps and there no net voltage across the lamps. When the turn signal/hazard flasher module removes power from the front side marker lamps, they become grounded on that side and then light due to the power supplied by the LCM.

HAZARD LAMPS
With the turn signal/hazard switch in the HAZARD position, the hazard signal input of the turn signal/hazard flasher module is grounded. The turn signal/hazard flasher module supplies power in an intermittent on and off pattern through CKT 685 (YEL) and CKT 686 (TAN) to all turn and side marker lamps. Both turn signal indicators flash on and off continuously while turn signal/hazard switch in the HAZARD position.

CORNERING LAMPS
When the ignition switch is in RUN and with the turn signal/hazard switch in a turn position, voltage is applied from the Underhood BEC T/SIG Fuse 3 through the turn signal/hazard switch to the respective cornering lamp. CKT 57 (ORN) supplies power to the LH cornering lamp and it is permanently grounded to G106. CKT 58 (BLK) to the RH cornering lamp and it is permanently grounded to G105. When the Turn/Hazard Switch is in either the LEFT TURN or RIGHT TURN position, the corresponding lamp lights.
