With Air Bag Deployment-Component Inspect/Replace

After a collision involving air bag deployment, replace the following components. If you detect any damage to the mounting points or the mounting hardware, repair or replace the mounting points and mounting hardware as needed.
^ The inflatable restraint "P module
^ The inflatable restraint steering wheel inflator module
^ The inflatable restraint Sensing and Diagnostic Module (SDM), if in the area of accident damage.
^ The Upper I/P
^ The I/P cross car beam, if the passenger inflator mounting points are damaged.

^ Refer to Sensor Replacement Guidelines below for important information on sensor replacement in both deployment and non deployment crashes. Service and Repair
Inspect and replace if necessary the following SIR components:
^ The inflatable restraint steering wheel module coil - Inspect wiring and connector for any signs of scorching, melting, or damage due to excessive heat. Replace if damaged. Refer to SIR Coil Assembly in Supplemental Inflatable Restraint (SIR) Tilt Steering Column. Refer to Steering.
