Steering Column Support Bracket

Description:

^ Disable SIR System.

CAUTION: When servicing an I/P assembly containing a live inflator module, or when leaving an I/P assembly containing a live inflator module unattended on a bench or other surface, always face the air bag deployment opening up, away from the surface. This is necessary so that a free space is provided to allow the air bag to expand in the unlikely event of accidental deployment. Failure to follow procedures could result in personal injury.

Remove or Disconnect
1. Steering Column.
2. Two Fasteners secure brace to I/P Carrier.
3. Brace.

Install or Connect
1. Brace to I/P Carrier using two fasteners. Apply LOCTITE 242 on threads of both fasteners before threading into brace.
2. Steering Column.
^ Enable SIR system.
