DISASSEMBLE

1. Air compressor assembly from vehicle. Refer to AIR COMPRESSOR REPLACEMENT.
2. Air compressor connector (J) from connector anchor (K).
^ Slide air compressor connector away from air compressor and off of anchor.
3. Three bolts (5) and heat shield (12) from air compressor bracket (7).
4. Air dryer. Refer to AIR DRYER REPLACEMENT.
5. Cut harness tie (26).
6. Bolt (27) and harness tie (26).
7. Two harness ties (28) and wrap (29) from wires.

Important: Note wire colors and terminal numbers to ensure correct assembly.

8. Two wire terminals (S) from air compressor connector (J).
9. Air hose (10) from air compressor head (30).
10. Three head bolts (31) and air compressor head (30) from air compressor assembly (3 ).
11. Gasket (32) from air compressor head (30) or air compressor assembly (3).

NOTICE: Always use the correct fastener in the correct location. When you replace a fastener, use ONLY the exact part number for that application. The manufacturer will call out those fasteners that require a replacement after removal. The manufacturer will also call out the fasteners that require thread lockers or thread sealant. UNLESS OTHERWISE SPECIFIED, do not use supplemental coatings (paints, greases, or other corrosion inhibitors) on threaded fasteners or fastener joint interfaces. Generally, such coatings adversely affect the fastener torque and the joint clamping force, and may damage the fastener. When you install fasteners, use the correct tightening sequence and specifications. Following these instructions can help you avoid damage to parts and systems.

ASSEMBLE
