Pre-Alignment Road Test With Customer

Road test the vehicle with the customer. The road test can help identify problems with worn control arm bushings or strut bearings, weak strut dampeners, loose power steering gear mounts, wheel bearings and tires. It is essential that obvious conditions must be brought to the customer's attention before an alignment is started. A "waddle" feeling in the back of the vehicle most often indicates a belt shift in one of the rear tires. Vibration in the steering wheel or the floor pan is often caused by static imbalance or radial runout of the front tires.
