Component and System Description

The mechanical components of this unit are as follows:
- A torque converter with a Torque Converter Clutch (TCC)
- A drive link assembly
- Five multiple disk clutch assemblies: Second, Reverse, Direct, Coast, and Forward
- Two friction bands: Intermediate/Fourth band and Low/Reverse band
- Two planetary gear sets: Input and Reaction
- Three one-way clutches: two roller clutches (Second and Low) and one sprag clutch
- A final drive and differential assembly
- One control valve assembly
- One vane type oil pump

The electrical components of this unit are as follows:
- Two shift solenoid valves, 1-2 and 2-3
- A Torque Converter Clutch Pulse
- Width Modulation Solenoid (TCC PWM Sol.) valve
- A Pressure Control Solenoid valve (PC Sol. Valve)
- An Automatic Transmission Fluid Temperature (TFT) sensor
- Two speed sensors: Input and Vehicle Speed Sensor
- An Automatic Transmission Fluid Pressure Manual Valve Position switch (TFP Val Position Sw)
- An Automatic Transmission (A/T) Wiring Harness
