Set Cruise Button Switch

Turn Signal And Multifunction Switch:

The cruise control "SET CRUISE" button switch is located in the end of the turn signal and multifunction switch and has three main functions:
^ SET: With the "SET CRUISE" button switch pressed and then released, vehicle's speed is exceeding 40 km/h (25 mph) and the "OFF ON R/A" switch is in the "ON" position, the cruise speed will be set at the speed the vehicle was traveling when the button switch was released. The vehicle's cruise speed will be within 2 km/h (1 mph) of the engaged speed. The system will cruise until either the "OFF ON R/A" switch is moved to "OFF", the brake pedal is, ,pressed, or the ignition switch is turned to OFF
^ CRUISE: With the "SET CRUISE" button switch fully pressed and held, the driver can increase or decrease the cruise speed.
To increase cruise speed:
- The driver presses and holds the "SET CRUISE" button switch in, accelerates to the desired cruise speed then releases the "SET CRUISE" button switch, causing the vehicle to travel at the new cruise speed.
To decrease cruise speed:
- The driver presses and holds the "SET CRUISE" button switch in, disengaging the cruise system, which allows the throttle to return to the idle position. When the vehicle has slowed to the desired cruise speed, the "SET CRUISE" button switch is released, causing the vehicle to travel at the new cruise speed.
^ TAP-DOWN: "Tap-down" is a function in which cruise speed can be decreased by 2 km/h (1 mph) increments (one tap = 2 km/h (1 mph) decrease). In order to do this the cruise must he engaged and operating. 'Tap-down" is accomplished by pressing and quickly releasing, or "tapping", the "SET CRUISE" button switch. If the button switch is held too long, the system to go into the CRUISE" mode. The accelerator may be pressed at any time to accelerate while the cruise system is operating. When the accelerator is released, the vehicle will return to the last set cruise speed.
