Radiator: Service and Repair
REMOVAL
1. Air cleaner and duct assembly.
2. Drain coolant.
3. Engine strut brace bolts from upper tie bar and rotate struts and braces rearward. See Engine.
CAUTION: To prevent shearing of rubber bushings loosen bolts on engine struts before swinging struts.
4. Electrical connectors from fans and clips.
5. Fan mounting bolts and fans.
6. Upper radiator brackets mounting bolts.
7. Clamps from upper and lower hoses at radiator using Hose Clamp Pliers.
8. Low coolant module electrical connector and module.
9. Transaxle oil cooler lines from radiator.
10. Radiator.
INSTALLATION
1. Radiator to lower mounts.
2. Transaxle oil cooler lines to radiator. Tighten nuts to 45 Nm (33 ft. lbs.).
3. Low coolant module and electrical connector.
4. Upper and lower hoses with clamps to radiator using Hose Clamp Pliers.
5. Upper radiator brackets and mounting bolts. Tighten bolts to 24 Nm (18 ft. lbs.).
6. Fans and mounting bolts. Tighten bolts to 6 Nm (53 inch lbs.).
7. Electrical connectors to fans.
8. Engine strut to proper position. See Engine.
9. Refill coolant.
10. Air cleaner and duct assembly. Inspect for leaks.
NOTE: To properly fill a system that has been completely drained requires the use of the air bleed vents.
