This bulletin is being revised to update part number information. Please discard Corporate Bulletin Number 78-83-03 (Section 8 - Chassis/Body Electrical).
This bulletin updates the instrument cluster identification information for 1997, and is intended to aid service and parts personnel in identifying instrument cluster(s) for replacement. The "Broadcast Code" in column three (3) of the chart can be used as a reference for all 1997 vehicles.
Important:
Broadcast Code Information - the "Broadcast Code" identifies components of the vehicle. It is a unique 3 digit alpha-numeric identifier. For vehicles built after April, 1997, the "Broadcast Code" can be displayed on Dealer Techline Terminals. The "Broadcast Code" can be viewed from the "IDCS" option by performing a VIN inquiry. Then select "Display VCVS Components." All parts catalogs will display the broadcast code and the part number of instrument clusters.
The pages indicate the most current list of instrument and display service centers. No art accompanies the part number information. These units are serviced exclusively by AC Delco Service Centers and the exchange is the complete instrument cluster.
Important:
Chevrolet, Corvette replacement instrument cluster part numbers are:
U.S. 10403424
Canada 10403425
These instrument clusters can be obtained from an authorized AC Delco Service Center.
