Power Output Diagnostic Mode

There is a Power Output Diagnostic Mode in the Multi-Function Alarm Module that can be used to run a quick check on the operation of the Parasitic Power Control, the Courtesy Lamps Control, and Inadvertent Power Control outputs. It is activated after all of the following actions have been performed:
^ Set Park Brake.
^ Close all doors.
^ Turn Ignition Switch to "RUN," and before 15 seconds pass, perform these steps:
^ Open the RH front door.
^ Cycle the Headlamp Switch from "OFF" to "PARK" three times.

During normal operation (no trouble found), the Multi-Function Alarm Module will flash the interior lamps until the Ignition Switch is turned off. In the event that an internal short is found in the Multi-Function Alarm Module, the module will chime as follows:
A. One chime every three seconds - Inadvertent output failure.
B. Two chimes every three seconds - Courtesy output failure.
C. Three chimes every three seconds - Parasitic output failure.

NOTE: The Multi-Function Alarm Module can now he reset by a battery disconnect. This can be accomplished by removing the INT LAMP Fuse.
