Cylinder Lines

REMOVAL
Remove or disconnect the following:
1. Rack and pinion steering assembly from vehicle.
2. Cylinder lines (2) or (12) from rack and pinion housing (16). O-ring seals (15) from cylinder lines (2) or (12).

INSTALLATION
Install or connect the following:
1. Lubricate O-ring seals (15) with power steering fluid.
2. O-ring seals (15) to cylinder lines (2) or (12).
3. Cylinder lines (2) or (12) to rack and pinion housing (16).
^ Tighten:
- Fittings at the valve end to 18 Nm (14 ft. lbs.).
- Fittings at the cylinder end to 28 Nm (20 ft. lbs.).
4. Rack and pinion assembly into vehicle.
