Troubleshooting Hints

PERFORM BEFORE BEGINNING SYSTEM DIAGNOSIS
1. Visually check IP Fuse Block CTSY LP/PWR MIR Fuse 6A by checking for LH footwell courtesy lamp operation.
2. Check for an open or short to ground in CKT 640.
3. Make sure that G202 is clean and tight.
4. If the mirrors do not move or all memory functions are inoperative, check that the mirror switch is in either the LH or RH position.
5. Before component replacement, check for poor connections at related component and in-line harness connector terminal connections.
6. Check for broken (or partially broken) wire inside of the insulation which could cause a system malfunction but prove GOOD in a continuity/voltage check with a system disconnected. These circuits may be intermittent or resistive when loaded, and if possible, should be checked by monitoring for a voltage drop with the system operational (under load).
7. Check for proper installation of aftermarket electronic equipment which may affect the integrity of other systems.
