Troubleshooting Hints - Indicators

PERFORM BEFORE BEGINNING SYSTEM DIAGNOSIS
1. Check the I/P Fuse Block Powertrain Control Module (PCM) Fuse 8 and the I/P Junction Block MISC/RDO/CLSTR Fuse 9C by visual inspection.
2. Check indicators for an open.
3. If more than one indicator or gauge is out, check common power and ground inputs.
4. Before component replacement, check for poor terminal contact at component connectors and in-line harness connectors; refer to Troubleshooting Procedures.
5. Check for a broken (or partially broken) wire inside of the insulation which could cause system failure but prove good in a continuity/voltage check. Refer to Troubleshooting Procedures.
6. Check for proper installation of aftermarket electronic equipment which may effect the integrity of other systems. Refer to Troubleshooting Procedures. Diagnostic Aids
