Cigar Lighter

Battery positive voltage (B+) is applied at all times through IP fuse block CIGAR LTR Fuse 9B to the cigar lighter. When the cigar lighter is pressed in, the cigar lighter heating element is provided a ground path and heats up. When the heating element reaches a predetermined value, the cigar lighter will pop up, thus interrupting the circuit. Pontiac with D53 also has a cigar lighter located in the rear of the center console.
