Trunk / Liftgate Switch: Service and Repair

REMOVAL PROCEDURE
1. Remove the instrument panel trim plate.
2. Remove the rear compartment release switch fasteners.
3. Partially remove the switch (2).
4. Disconnect the electrical connector. Remove the switch (2).

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE
1. Partially install the rear compartment release switch (2).
2. Connect the electrical connector.
3. Install the switch (2).

NOTICE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.

4. Install the switch fasteners.

Tighten
Tighten the fasteners to 1.9 N.m (17 lb in).

5. Install the instrument panel trim plate.
