CIRCUIT DESCRIPTION
The Simple Bus Interface (CKT 217, LT BLU) provides a communication path from both the Passenger and Rear Door Modules (PDM & RDM) and the Power Door Lock Switch to the Driver Door Module (DDM). The Driver Door Module contains both Class 2 and Simple Bus Interface circuits allowing it to relay messages between the Class 2 Bus and the Simple Bus Interface (SBI).

CONDITIONS FOR SETTING THE DTC
^ Any Simple Bus Interface communications problem between the Rear Door Module and Driver's Door Module will cause this DTC to be set.
^ DTCs B1982 (Battery Voltage High) and B1983 (Battery Voltage Low) must not be current or the diagnostic will not run.

ACTION TAKEN WHEN THE DTC SETS
Loss of the Simple Bus Interface will cause the Rear Door Module to Go to "Sleep". All power functions will be lost on the Rear Doors. This includes power windows and power door locks. The manual door lock will still function normally.

CONDITIONS FOR CLEARING THE MIL/DTC
This code will clear automatically when the Simple Bus Interface becomes operational again.
