Front Steering Knuckle: Description and Operation

The front steering knuckle and lower control arm are made of a machined aluminum casting. Do not use a hammer to loosen suspension components from the steering knuckle. Suspension components attached to the steering knuckle (i.e. ball joint/stud, strut damper) are made of steel and have special coatings to prevent corrosion.
