Arming the System

The Content Theft Deterrent (CTD) System system can also be armed with the windows open. To arm the system follow this procedure:
1. Close all the windows and place the shift lever in PARK.
2. The the ignition cylinder to the LOCK position and remove the key.
3. Open any door.
4. Lock the doors with the power door lock switch or the door lock button on the key fob.
5. Close all doors. The system is now armed.

If a door unlock request is received by the Remote Function Actuator (RFA) module during the above arming sequence, the RFA module enters the disarmed mode and turns off the SECURITY indicator. To arm the system at this point, the arming sequence must be repeated.
