Door Jamb Switches

The Content Theft Deterrent (CTD) System monitors the inputs of the front and rear door jamb switches to activate the alarm. When the CTD system is armed and a passenger door is opened (switch closes) the respective door module detects a ground input. The door module sends a message via the Simple Bus Interface (SBI) serial data line to the Driver Door Module (DDM), except for when the LH front door jamb switch closes. When the DDM detects a ground input or receives a door open message, it sends a door open message via the class 2 serial data line to the Remote Function Actuator (RFA) module. The RFA module receives this message and enters the alarm mode.
