Door Jamb Switches
The CTD system monitors the inputs of the front and rear door jamb switches to activate the alarm. When the CTD system is armed and a passenger door is opened (switch closes) the respective door module detects a ground input. The door module sends a message via the Simple Bus Interface (SBI) serial data line to file Driver Door Module (DDM), except for when the LH front door jamb switch closes. When the DDM detects a ground input or receives a door open message, it sends a door open message via the class 2 serial data line to the RFA module. The RFA module receives this message and enters the alarm mode.
