Pass-Key(R) III System Quick Learn Procedure

Use this procedure to learn additional ignition keys (black or gray), up to 10 ignition keys can be learned.

Important
^ To use this procedure when learning additional ignition keys, a learned master ignition key (black) must be available.
^ The first key used in this procedure must not be a valet key (gray). A valet key does not allow the system to learn additional keys.

1. Insert the master ignition key (black) into the ignition lock cylinder and start the vehicle.
2. Wait 10 seconds, then turn the ignition switch to OFF and remove the key.
^ If the vehicle does not start, refer to PASS-Key(R) III Auto Learn Procedure.

3. Within 10 seconds, insert a valid mechanical coded unlearned ignition key (black or gray) into the ignition lock cylinder and turn the ignition switch to RUN. The SECURITY indicator illuminates. The SECURITY indicator turns off when the key has been learned. Note, it may not be possible to notice the SECURITY indicator illuminating since the system can quickly learn a unlearned key.
4. Wait 10 seconds, then turn the ignition switch to OFF and remove the key.
5. To learn additional keys repeat step 3 and 4.
