Telephone Dialing Methods
PLACING A CALL THROUGH THE HANDSET KEYPADA. Dialing a number.
1. Dial number.
2. Press SND to initiate call.
3. Press END after call completion.
B. Dialing a number by recalling specific memory location.
1. Press RCL.
2. Enter two digits of desired memory (01,05, etc.).
3. Press SND to initiate call.
4. Press END after call completion.
C. Dialing number from scrolling phone memory.
1. Press RCL.
2. Scroll phone memories with Volume Control keys (left side of handset).
3. Stop scrolling when the desired number is reached.
4. Press SND to initiate call.
5. Press END after call completion.
PLACING CALLS USING STEERING WHEEL CONTROLS (SWC)
1. Tap up on Phone switch to access phone mode.
2. Tap up or down and hold Select switch to scroll phone memories for desired phone number. Phone numbers can be seen on the DIC display.
3. Tap up SND switch to initiate call.
4. After call completion, tap down the END switch.
PLACING CALLS USING VOICE RECOGNITION
1. Tap up and hold the Phone switch for 1 second to access the phone's VR mode or press the VR key on the handset.
2. After the READY voice prompt, speak the word DIAL.
3. After the NUMBER PLEASE voice prompt speak the phone number you wish to dial. After each spoken digit the number will appear on the DIC.
4. Speak the word DIAL. The DIALING voice prompt will follow.
5. Speak the word SEND clearly to initiate call.
6. After call completion tap down on the END switch or press the END key on the handset.
NOTE: Speaking the word CLEAR will undo the last spoken digit. Speaking the word HELP after the voice prompt will provide a list of commands via voice recognition. Speaking the word CANCEL will take you to the top of the VR command list.
