Analog Speedometer Without Driver Information Center:

The speedometer has a high torque needle indicator. A speed sensor at the transaxle sends electrical pulses to the powertrain control module (PCM) which buffers and converts the electrical pulses to speed signals. The speed signals are then sent to the electronics in the speedometer, which converts them to mechanical movement. In some cases, these electrical pulses also control a stepper motor which drives the odometer.

The domestic and export come with English/metric switches that allow the IPC to display mph or km/h.

There are two levels of speedometer clusters, a base level without a Driver Information Center and an upper level with a Driver Information Center.
