Horn: Description and Operation
At all times, battery voltage is applied to terminals 85 and 87 of the horn relay. Pressing the horn switch grounds the horn relay coil. The relay coil can also be grounded on CKT 28 (BLK) by the Remote Function Actuator (RFA) module. (Refer to Remote Keyless, for Entry circuit operation.) The horn relay applies battery voltage to the horns, when energized. The horns sound until the horn switch is released, or the RFA signal is gone. Keyless EntryThe RFA module causes a number of horn actuation's according to excitation. Locking or unlocking the vehicle through use of a key fob transmitter will cause a short pulsed horn actuation A Class II message from the Universal Theft circuit. or pressing the Panic sequence on one of the key fobs, will result in a continuous pulsed horn output from the RFA.
