Troubleshooting Hints

Rainsense Module:

Wiper Motor Harness Connector (vehicle Side):

Make the following checks before beginning System Diagnosis.
1. Check that the vehicle is equipped with the correct rainsense module. All rainsense modules for this vehicle should have two nubs on the side.
2. Check the "RFARSEN" fuse in the I/P bussed electrical center. If open, check for a short to ground through CKT 443 and replace the fuse.
3. Check the "WSW" fuse in the I/P bussed electrical center. If open, check for a short to ground through CKT 243 and replace the fuse.
4. Check that all system electrical connectors are mated correctly.
5. If the washer does not operate, check that:
- Washer reservoir is filled.
- Hoses are correctly attached.
- Hoses are not cut, pinched or kinked.
- Nozzles are not clogged.
- Connector seal at washer pump is not damaged or missing

6. If wiper motor assembly operates but wiper blades do not, check the wiper transmission at the wiper motor crank arm.
