Delayed Illumination

The Body Control Module (BCM) grounds circuits 156 and 157 for 22-28 seconds, turning on the courtesy lights, when the following conditions are met:
^ The ignition switch is in the LOCK position.
^ The IP dimmer switch is off.
^ When closing all vehicle doors (the BCM detects a transition from a ground signal to open circuit in either circuit 49 or 727.)

The delayed illumination feature is cancelled when turning the ignition switch to the ACC or RUN position, or by locking the doors when using either a power door lock switch or a keyless entry transmitter.
