Supercharger Oil Level

Supercharger Maintenance:

WARNING: Do not remove the oil plug when the engine is warm. The engine should be cool to the touch. Approximately 2-3 hours after running. Removing the oil plug at warm engine temperatures can cause hot oil to overflow. This could result in oil loss and possible personal injury.

REMOVE OR DISCONNECT
1. Remove wiring harness shield.
2. Clean area around the oil fill plug.
3. Remove oil plug.

Inspect
^ Oil level should be maintained to the bottom of the threads in the inspection hole.
^ Do not use petroleum based oil. Use only GM P/N 12345982 synthetic oil or equivalent 5W-30 synthetic oil. Failure to do so may cause supercharger failure.

INSTALL OR CONNECT
1. Install oil plug, ensure O-ring is in proper position.

^ Tighten oil plug to 10 Nm (88 lb.in).

2. Install wiring harness shield.
