Piston and Connecting Rod Disassemble
1. Remove the piston rings. Use a suitable tool to expand the rings. Piston rings must not be reused.
CAUTION: Handle the piston carefully. Worn piston rings are sharp and may cause bodily injury.
2. Remove the piston pin retaining clips.
Important: Two retainers hold the piston pins in place. Reuse the retainers if they are not damaged. Ensure the piston pin is not damaged.
3. Remove the piston pin.
