Revised Sun Shade Removal/Installation Method

Important:
If the dealer/retailer uses a sublet trim repair facility, the Service Manager should provide a copy of this bulletin to that repair facility.
The method of removing or installing sun shades in the above listed vehicles was revised during the production schedule.
Vehicles built after the August time frame (approximately) will use the method described in the procedure as shown.
Removal and installation of the later style is as follows:
1. Unsnap the sun shade from the inboard center retainer.
2. Insert a screwdriver in service slot of the sun shade shaft.
3. With the screwdriver in place, pull down slightly on the free end of the sun shade and rotate the sun shade approximately 100 mm (4 in.) towards the rear of the vehicle.
4. Push upward on the free end of the sun shade assembly and continue to rotate towards the side glass for the remainder of the travel.
5. Pull down on the sun shade to release from the sun shade bezel on the headliner.
6. To install, align the triangular portions of the sun shade and bezel, push upwards and rotate toward the windshield.
